Valley were chosen to implement this stunning project at this unique property set in a wooded valley on the Surrey/Sussex/Hampshire Border. With an initial garden design drawn up by Acres Wild we worked with the client to finalise the scheme including the full specification and structural calculations for the Pool House and necessary retaining walls.
The project package included a full external redesign, beginning at the rear of the property with extensive groundwork and excavation, construction of a 4 meter high natural stone gabion retaining wall and adjoining rebuilt traditional stone walling to create the space required around the refurbished pool and new pool house.
The Pool house is particularly special and unique with fully retracting bi-fold doors, a natural green roof system, temperature controlled internally via air source heat pump, a wood stove, kitchenette, walk in shower and toilet and reclaimed look real wood flooring in the living area.
Externally Paved seating areas surrounded by beautiful planting produces the result of a wonderful outdoor family relaxation and entertaining area.
Following this there was the extension and construction of the driveway, including another lovely natural drystone wall and a tar-and-chip driveway set inside corten steel edgings.
